As a children's hospital, Riley encourages children and teens to learn about their health and wellness. Children and teens lead active lives, and as Indiana's only comprehensive children's hospital, we offer ways for families to be healthy and safe. Since children learn best by playing and doing activities, we have included some interactive programs and reading materials that engage your child to learn—and explore.


Zoe was diagnosed with a rare immune disorder called Hyper IGM in March of 2005. The doctors at Riley Children's Hospitals and other doctors from around the world have all concluded that she needs to be given a new immune system through a stem cell transplant.

Flashes of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The portraits, taken by award-winning photographers, help children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it. For families of terminally ill children, it's especially important to have a portrait that preserves forever the beauty, grace and dignity of their child.
